A wide leg with subtle barrel shaping gives these light army green trousers room to move without pooling at the ankle. We used an airy linen blend that softens as you wash it. The elastic waist pulls on fast, settled by a flat drawstring so the gather stays balanced.

Waistband and rise. We built an elastic waistband with an adjustable cord through the tunnel. It sits comfortably across the hips without pinching, keeping the gather distributed evenly around the waist.
Linen blend weave. The lightweight linen blend keeps an open weave that vents heat throughout the day. It has the natural texture of raw flax and breaks in softer after each cycle through the wash.
Oversized patch pockets. Large patch pockets sit low on each side, secured with exposed topstitching. They lie flat against the outer leg seam when empty and hold small items without pulling down the waistband.
Laundering and care. Wash by hand or run on a gentle machine cycle in cool water. Hang them on a line to dry naturally instead of machine drying, then press with a warm steam iron.
