We cut these barrel trousers from ribbed corduroy in a deep magenta that holds warmth through cold weather. The high rise settles comfortably on an elastic waistband with an adjustable cord. The leg stays wide and loose down to the hem.

• Corduroy texture and color. The magenta corduroy carries a visible vertical rib that catches light across the pile. It has a soft, velvety hand and enough weight to drop straight without clinging.
• Waistband and drawstring. We built the top with a wide elastic channel and a front drawstring to adjust the hold. The band sits high on the waist so the loose rise hangs freely.
• Barrel leg cut. The wide leg runs full through the thigh and calf, giving the pants an open barrel shape. The hem rests lightly over boots or sneakers without bunching up.
• Pockets and wash care. Deep side pockets sit along the hip seams to carry everyday items. Wash on cold cycle or by hand, tumble dry low, and do not use bleach.
