We cut these wide trousers from ribbed corduroy in a deep jujube red. The high rise gathers on an elastic channel with an adjustable drawcord to anchor the slouchy legs. It is a soft, heavy cloth that holds warmth through autumn and winter.

• Ribbed corduroy cloth. The velvety ribs hold warmth without stiffening the drape. We washed the jujube red fabric so it breaks in immediately, moving loosely down the full length of the leg.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. A wide elastic band sits at the natural rise. We added an exterior cord through the casing so you can knot the waist down over tucked knits or loose hems.
• Baggy palazzo cut. The legs fall straight and wide from the hip down to a plain hem. The generous cut leaves ample room through the thigh, creating an easy slouch that stacks over boots.
• Deep side pockets. Two open slash pockets sit on the side seams, set deep enough to carry your phone or keys without pulling the waist down or distorting the line of the hip.
