We cut these trousers wide through the thigh and leg for cooler weather. The high waistband pairs an elastic channel with an adjustable drawcord so the top block stays in place without pinching. Dark coffee corduroy brings a soft pile, deep ribbed texture, and enough weight to drop straight down.

• Elastic waist and drawcord. The waistband relies on an enclosed elastic band backed by an exterior drawcord. You tie it once to set the tension, while the stretch band moves with you when sitting down.
• Ribbed corduroy cloth. We chose a midweight corduroy in dark coffee brown. The raised wales trap warmth in cold air, and the cloth has enough density to hold the rounded shape down the leg.
• Slouchy barrel leg. The cut stays loose from the high rise past the knee before falling to a clean lower hem. Extra room through the seat keeps the fabric from binding when you step.
• Deep side pockets. Two open slash pockets are stitched directly into the side seams. We cut them deep enough to take a phone or keep hands out of the wind without pulling the waistband down.
