We cut these from medium-weight sweatshirt fabric that holds its own shape without stiffening up. The barrel leg curves outward through the mid-leg before tapering slightly toward the ankle, where contrast stripes break the solid wine tone. An elastic waist with an adjustable cord keeps the top secure while the lower leg stays loose.

• Barrel leg profile. The outseams bow outward through the knee to build volume, then pull back in toward the cuff. This gives the heavyweight fleece a rounded line that stays away from the skin.
• Drawstring waistband. A wide elastic band sits flat against the waist. We ran an adjustable pull cord through the casing so you can tie it tight or leave it relaxed depending on how you layer underneath.
• Contrast hem detail. Horizontal stripes at the lower leg give weight to the opening. The cuffs rest cleanly over sneakers without gathering tight or dragging on the floor.
• Cold water care. Wash in cold water with like colours to preserve the deep wine dye. Line dry or tumble on low heat to keep the fleece interior soft and maintain the shape of the outseams.
