We cut these cropped pants with a wide leg that drops straight down to mid-calf. The lightweight jersey holds four-way stretch and stays soft against the leg. A high waistband anchors the top securely without a drawstring to fiddle with.

• Wide cropped leg. The leg stays wide from the hip down past the knee. That open shape keeps air moving around your shins and lets the jersey drape in loose folds rather than clinging.
• High elastic waistband. A wide band sits high on the waist to hold the cut in place. It stretches evenly across your middle and lies flat under loose tees or fitted tops.
