We cut these with plenty of room through the thigh and calf, borrowing volume from both harem and palazzo patterns. The black and white dot print breaks up the sweep of the leg. An elastic band with an integrated drawstring anchors the waist so the fabric can fall loose beneath it.

• Waistband and rise. We build the waistband with a broad elastic core and thread a matching fabric drawstring through it. The rise sits easy, giving the hips room to move without tension on the seams.
• Leg cut and volume. The leg widens directly from the hip and stays broad all the way to the hem. It borrows the loose, airy drape of a harem shape without gathering back in at the ankle.
• Dropped side pockets. We set the pockets low into the side seams where the fabric folds naturally. They sit deep enough to hold keys or a phone without pulling the waistband down or breaking the silhouette.
• Linen blend care. This linen blend softens after washing and lets heat escape. Wash on a gentle cycle or by hand in cool water, skip the dryer, and hang dry to keep the dot print crisp.
