We cut these culottes with an open, skirt-like sweep that falls past the knee. The lightweight linen blend stays loose through the leg, while the rust yellow wash gives the fabric depth. A gathered drawstring waist keeps the top block easy to adjust.

• Wide palazzo leg. The leg cuts wide from the hip down and finishes at a cropped capri length. Air moves through the broad opening as you walk, giving the silhouette the hang of a split skirt without catching at the knee.
