We cut these summer shorts with a wide leg opening so air moves freely around the thigh. The linen blend is lightweight and soft from the first wash, dyed in a muted rose. Front pleats add room across the hips without adding bulk at the waistband.

• Elastic waist and tie. A wide elastic band sits high on the waist, gathered evenly so it holds without pinching. We added an adjustable drawstring through the front so you can knot it loose or secure.
• Front pleats and leg. Deep pleats run down from the waistband into a generous, relaxed leg. The hem falls around mid-thigh, cut wide enough to stay clear of the leg when you sit or walk.
• Oversized patch pockets. Roomy square patch pockets sit flat on the front hips. We topstitched the pocket edges and hem in a contrasting thread to show the shape and anchor the seams.
• Linen blend care. Wash cold or warm on a gentle cycle, then hang on a line to dry. The rose weave softens and gains texture over time; steam iron if you prefer a pressed finish.
