We cut these black summer shorts loose through the thigh with front pleats that drop straight from the waistband. The linen blend stays light and lets warm air out. Contrast thread traces the deep patch pockets and bottom hem for a clean, visible line.

Waistband and rise. An elastic band anchors the high rise, paired with a flat drawstring so you can adjust the hold without bunching. It pulls on easily and stays settled across the hips.
Pleated wide leg. Front pleats open the leg opening wide so the fabric hangs free around the mid thigh. The cut leaves plenty of room through the seat and avoids binding when you sit.
