We cut these culottes wide through the lower leg so the fabric breaks and sways like a full skirt. The linen and rayon weave stays light in hot sun, softening as it washes. An elastic band with an adjustable tie anchors the high rise comfortably against your waist.

• Skirt-pant leg cut. We gave each leg an extra-wide sweep that falls around the knee. The shape gives you the open movement and drape of a summer skirt while keeping the coverage of a cropped pant.
• Linen and rayon weave. The fabric blends crisp linen slubs with soft rayon yarns for a lighter, looser hang. The open weave lets heat escape quickly on warm afternoons and wrinkles gently through regular wear.
• Elastic and drawstring waist. A gathered elastic casing sits high on the natural waist. We threaded a matching fabric drawstring through the front so you can cinch or loosen the waist without fabric bunching at the hips.
• Washing and care. Wash by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool or lukewarm water. Line dry in the shade to keep the aqua blue dye bright, and steam iron while slightly damp to smooth the weave.
