We cut these boxer-style lounge shorts with plenty of room through the seat and thigh so the linen cloth stays off your skin. The high elastic waistband pulls straight on without hardware. A pale lace trim along the leg openings weights the hem and softens the clean check.

Elastic waistband. A gathered casing holds soft elastic that sits high on the waist. It stays in place without pinching or folding over, making the shorts easy to pull on for morning coffee or sleep.
Lace trim hem. We bordered the leg openings with a narrow strip of cotton lace. The trim adds weight to the bottom hem so the wide leg opening keeps its clean shape instead of riding up.
Side pockets. Two slash pockets sit along the side seams. We anchored them deep enough to hold a phone or keys without distorting the relaxed line of the hips.
Gingham linen care. The green and white check is woven into the breathable linen fabric. Hand wash or run on a gentle cycle, skip the dryer, and hang them up to let the weave settle naturally.
