These boxer-style shorts give your legs room without clinging. We cut them in a soft linen blend dyed a muted army green, then set the waist on a gathered elastic casing with a functional drawcord. Sporty side striping runs down the outer seams to small notched hems.

• Elastic drawstring waist. The waistband gathers softly across the hips with an encased elastic band that stays flat. A front drawcord lets you cinch the rise where you prefer, whether worn low on the hips or higher on the waist.
• Linen blend cloth. We chose a lightweight linen blend that softens after washing and lets warm air pass through the weave. The cloth holds its boxer shape without sticking to your skin in high heat.
• Side stripe detail. A clean vertical stripe traces each outer seam from the waistband to the bottom edge. Small side slits at the hem give the leg openings extra ease when you walk or sit.
