We cut this piece as a short dress with an inner short built right into the body. The top uses a V-neckline on thin shoulder straps, while the outer skirt hangs loose over the underlayer. Oversized patch pockets sit flat across the front to take a phone or a key.

• Built-in inner short. The base layer fits close underneath the skirt to keep the hem moving freely. It stays anchored through stride and stretch so the outer layer can float.
• Shoulder straps and neck. Narrow spaghetti straps hold the open V-neckline in place. The cut stays sleeveless and light across the chest and back for warm-weather wear.
• Front patch pockets. Two wide patch pockets are stitched directly onto the front panels. They are cut deep enough to hold daily items without pulling down on the side seams.
